Hansson and his son Alexander spent close to $400,000 on stock in the New York-listed PSV owner this week.

He revealed in a letter to shareholders that the pair took 50,000 shares at $7.83 a piece.

Hansson’s Nordic American Tankers holds 4,830,312 shares in the offshore support vessel owner, according to SEC filings.

The purchase was not the only event that had NAO chairman Hansson in bullish mood – with the company increasing its period coverage thanks to contracts with Statoil and currency movements trimming newbuilding costs.
