Glencore has hired the 84,100-dwt Akaki (built 2013) for four to six months, brokers say.
A rate of $8,600 daily has been secured by the Greek owner against the $4,900 daily available in the spot market right now, the Baltic Exchange says.
Klaveness has chartered the 81,630-dwt Sea Neptune (built 2013) for four to seven months at $7,250 daily.
The vessel is one of around 30 commercially managed by the Oslo quoted firm in addition to its owned fleet.
