The crude import facility said the imported crude oil was offloaded from an unnamed VLCC over the weekend.
“Our reliable system and our unique location in the Gulf of Mexico continue to make LOOP the destination of choice for large crude oil tankers bringing product to the US,” said LOOP president Tom Shaw.
“Along with domestically produced crude oil, imported crude oil continues to play an important role in meeting the nation’s energy demand balance.”
