The vessels are part of a series of 50,200-dwt tankers under construction by Hyundai Vinashin at its Nha Trang yard in Vietnam.
Two of the tankers have been fixed at $16,650 a day with the remaining vessel earning $16,850 a day.
The charterer has not been identified by d’Amico apart from the Italian quoted owner saying it was “one of the most important oil majors.”
