The 109,999-dwt LR2 STI Oxford (built 2015) will begin a 50-day trip at approximately $41,000 per day.
According to the company’s website and latest annual report, its LR2s have been striking deals of less than $20,000 per day.
But since the beginning of the year, Scorpio has managed to clinch contracts at a daily rate of more than $30,000.
The latest agreement is the first of the year that surpasses the $40,000 mark.
