Capital Product Partners (CPLP) has ridden the strongest product tanker spot market since 2007 to a solid result for the third quarter.

The Evangelos Marinakis-led partnership booked net income of $13.8m compared to $11.3m in the corresponding quarter of 2014.

CPLP reported total revenue of $57.6m against $48.2m a year ago, thanks to its bigger fleet.

It explained the crude and product tanker markets maintained the positive momentum of the first half into the third quarter with lower oil prices favouring increased oil movements.
