Jo Lunder, the new chief executive of the Fredriksen Group, has been arrested.
The executive was detained last night by Norwegian police, his lawyer told Reuters.
He was taken into custody after arriving at Oslo’s Gardermoen airport on a flight from London.
The police are refusing to reveal any details surrounding the matter.
Lunder's lawyer, Cato Schiotz, only confirms the arrest and suspects it has to do with his former position at Vimpelcom.
