UK shipowner James Fisher says its tankers have performed strongly over the last four months, but overall group revenue has fallen.

The London-listed company has banked 4% less from all its operations since 1 July, it said in a trading update.

Trading conditions for the offshore oil division continued to be tough, particularly in the Norwegian market, it said. 

“Customers continued to postpone discretionary expenditures in the inspection, maintenance and repair markets served by our businesses,” Fisher added.
