Winson Shipping of Taiwan is believed to have made its debut in the VLCC market.
Brokers say the owner has snapped up the 311,200-dwt DS Chief (built 1999).
Sources suggest a figure of $25.25m for DS Tankers ship, in line with the $25.26m figure VesselsValue places in the tanker.
The sale would mark the first VLCC deal since February, when NYK offloaded the 281,0000dwt Takachiho II (built 1998) for $21.3m.
