Turkish tanker owner Palmali is said to be in talks to sell stakes to Azerbaijan state oil company Socar and investment bank Goldman Sachs.

Palmali, owned by Azeri businessman Mubariz Mansimov, controls a 91-strong fleet that includes two suezmaxes and five aframaxes, with two smaller ships on order.

Turkey’s Hurriyet daily claimed Mansimov was in talks with the two potential investors. A deal could be cut in August, it added.
