Saudi Arabian state shipowner Bahri has appointed a new CEO to "steer the next phase of its growth."

The VLCC giant said Abdullah Aldubaikhi will start in the role from 1 January.

He will be responsible for overseeing the implementation of Bahri’s core strategic direction to further cement its global leadership position in the maritime industry, the owner said.

The new man will also lead the company’s expansion into new growth markets while seeking new revenue streams.
