Blackrock adds to Gener8 Maritime stake

Financial heavyweight Blackrock has topped up its interest in Gener8 Maritime, a takeover target for Idan Ofer’s Quantum Pacific.

BlackRock this week reported an increased holding of 8,526,319 Gener8 shares, equal to 10.3% of the company.

Blackrock was already among the tanker owner’s more prominent investors.

SEC filings show it previously held 7,968,633 shares in Gener8, giving it a 9.6%
