The Connecticut Maritime Association (CMA) has tapped Chembulk Tankers chief executive Jack Noonan to wear its commodore hat in 2017.
The shipping group awards the honour to an influential industry figure each March, with Noonan joining the ranks of recent winners Paddy Rodgers (pictured), Panagiotis Tsakos, Robert Bugbee and Peter Evensen.
It will be the first time since 2000 that the CMA has handed the prize to the leader of a company headquartered in its namesake US state.
