Brazil’s interim president Michel Temer has shot back at claims from former Transpetro president Sergio Machado that dragged him into a corruption saga involving Petrobras.
Machado, himself accused of corruption, claimed in a plea bargain released by the Supreme Court that Temer requested a donation of around $440,000 for his PMDB party's candidate's campaign in the mayoral elections in Sao Paulo in 2012, the BBC and Reuters report.
