Energy trading company Onex DMCC is to spend $165m on its first newbuildings — three scrubber-fitted product tankers to be built in South Korea.
Dubai-based Onex has contracted Hyundai Heavy Industries to build three LR2s for delivery in March, May and September 2021. The deal does not include any options.
First newbuilding order
“This is the first time that Onex has ordered newbuildings,” one shipbuilding expert said.
