Thun Tankers has added a fifth newbuilding to a series of 17,500-dwt ships at Avic Dingheng Shipbuilding.
The latest vessel is an option on an existing contract which will see the tankers wheeled out in 2019 and 2020.
Joakim Lund, chief operating officer of Thun Tankers, tells TradeWinds the owner believes there is sufficient demand in the market to support the additional vessel.
