Bjorn Jebsen, newly elected president of third-party and in-house shipmanagement association InterManager, says an “ever-changing environment is putting more pressure on everyone” — not only shipmanagers but also seafarers.
InterManager’s stated aims during Jebsen’s tenure are to “drive efficiency onboard and ashore, overcome administrative burdens, emphasise education and training to improve standards and aid recruitment, and improve the crew wellness index”.
