On Monday, oil-and-gas union Industri Energi and trade union SAFE underscored their fears of a perceived increase in safety incidents on the Norwegian Continental Shelf (NCS), after threeaccidents on Statoil-operated fields over the weekend.
A gas-leak incident occurred on the drilling rig Songa Endurance on Saturday, prompting an evacuation. A fire on Statfjord A platform caused a shutdown on Sunday, and then another a gas alarm went off on Gullfaks A platform, resulting in another shutdown on the same night.
