A Turkish-owned bulker arrested in India has sailed free after its owner settled a dispute with Danish bunker player Monjasa.
High Court of Gujarat legal documents show the 32,900-dwt Nihat-M (built 1998) was released on 19 November following an order by Justice Paresh Upadhyay.
Indian lawyers representing Monjasa informed the court that the lawsuit had been withdrawn following settlement.
The ship was arrested on 8 November after Monjasa filed a lawsuit seeking to recover $44,000, plus arbitration costs of around $77,700.
