Excitement is mounting in the Oslo and Singapore offices of GPO Heavylift since its first 65,000-dwt semi-submersible newbuilding floated out at China Shipbulding Corp (CSBC)’s Kaohsiung shipbuilding yard last month.
The 65,000-dwt GPO Grace will begin service in April, to be joined by three sisterships. The GPO Amethyst will follow later in the year and the other two are scheduled for delivery in 2019.
