Offshore support vessels (OSVs) saw months of continuous declines for most of 2016 but their primary market managed to cap off the year with stable figures for December, according to US oil-services giant Baker Hughes Inc (BHI).

There were 235 rigs working in December, the same number as in November 2016 — but the figure is still down 14.2% from 274 rigs in December 2015 and 41.1%
