Greek shipowner Ghikas Goumas of Equinox Maritime has emerged as a shareholder of Oslo-based Arne Blystad-controlled Songa Bulk.
In an exclusive interview with TradeWinds, Goumas explained the investment marks the first time the two companies have done business together. “We are looking forward to co-operating closely with Arne Blystad,” he said.
Songa Bulk in November bought the Nantong Cosco-built, 58,000-dwt bulker Equinox Glory (renamed Songa Glory, built 2012) from Equinox for $14.85m.
