Maritime Innovation Japan Corp (Mijac), a joint venture involving some of the biggest shipbuilding and shipowning names in Japan, will close down at the end of March but a new, more expansive enterprise could be in the making, according to sources.
Reports in Tokyo suggest that despite developing some innovative technology, Mijac’s 14 individual equity partners are now seeking to go it alone.
