Tan Binh Shipping of Vietnam appears to have regained its buying momentum, with brokers naming it as the buyer of the Imabari Shipbuilding-constructed, 28,500-dwt bulker Atlantic Dream (built 2006).
Seller Shoei Kisen Kaisha is reportedly receiving a firm $6.5m for the ship.
Prolific buyer
Tan Binh was a prolific buyer of handysize tonnage in recent years. The privately owned, Haiphong-based owner acquired bulkers last year and was also very active in 2014 and 2015.
