Philippe Louis-Dreyfus passed on the leadership of Bimco this week, having overseen a rebranding of the 112-year-old organisation that is emblematic of the outgoing, commercially minded culture adopted on his watch.

He is succeeded as president by Anastasios Papagiannopoulos, a Greek owner who wants Bimco to offer new products and services, adapt to a rapidly changing shipping world, expand its footprint and add more owners as members.
