ABG Shipyard of India’s Singapore-based shipping arm, Pacific First Shipping (PFS), has bought a double-hull aframax tanker and has plans to acquire two more in the near future.
A senior official at PFS confirms the purchase last week of the 107,200-dwt Kythira (built 1997) for around $21.8m from Greece’s Aeoloas Shipmanagement. Sources say it is likely to join PFS’s fleet by the end of this month.
