Arkas of Turkey is back building more containerships at Peene Werft in Germany but this time it has stepped up a size.
The Istanbul-based group has reached agreement to build two vessels of at least 1,500 teu, say market sources. The owner earlier took delivery of four 1,200-teu containerships from the Detflef Hegemann group yard and in September and November it will receive another pair.
