India's Dohle Danautic plans to spread its wings over the next two to three years to take advantage of the country's growing economy.

Industry sources claim the company is in negotiations with state-owned Shipping Corp of India (SCI) regarding the joint ownership of vessels.

The venture with SCI will look to acquire panamaxes of 60,000 dwt to 65,000 dwt as part of its plan to capture a share of India's burgeoning dry-bulk sector.
