A USD 125m security bond put up by Switzerland-based offshore pipeline
installation contractor Allseas was enough to finally release the
company's partially completed pipelay ship Solitaire from Singapore
yard Sembawang.
The vessel is now under tow to Britain, where the recently revived Swan
Hunter yard will complete the contract. The ship should arrive at the
yard in April, and contract completion is scheduled for the fourth
quarter of 1996.
