Only three carriers can test Northern Sea Route

Only three LNG carriers exist with the right specifications to make a loaded test voyage with a cargo along the Northern Sea Route (NSR) from Russia to Asia.

Those following plans for the voyage say an ice-class 1A vessel is required. Only Dynagas’s 149,700-cbm Clean Force and Clean Power (both built 2007) and Stream’s 173,400-cbm Ribera del Duero Knutsen (built 2010) have this specification.
