A federal judge in Galveston ordered the seizure of the 9,440-hp Kestrel (built 1978) on the same day that Malin International Ship Repair & Drydock filed a Rule B complaint against Amado Omar Yanez Osuna’s Oceanografia in the Southern District of Texas.
The plaintiff, which identified the defendant as the charterer of the seized ship, claims the Campeche-based operator of nearly 40 offshore-support vessels (OSVs) and its affiliate, Con-Dive, have not settled invoices for supplies and services connected to a contract penned in 2008.
