Privately owned Sinopacific Shipbuilding Group has established not only a reputation for building eco-ships but it has also successfully expanded into offshore.
Now, the company is looking at bigger projects by setting its sights on the upstream oil-and-gas sector.
Company co-chief executive Jiang Qiang tells TradeWinds that Sinopacific began studying the upstream market some four years ago, focusing on drillships and floating production, storage and offloading (FPSO) units.
