John Fredriksen’s bulker company, Golden Ocean Group, is set to cancel its four remaining newbuildings at Jinhai Heavy Industries in China.
It has already ditched five bulkers at the yard due to delays but its purchase this week of the South Korean controlled, 179,000-dwt Magnolia (built 2009) is seen as confirmation that the company continues to have faith in the market.
