The Universal Shipbuilding-built, 150,000-dwt Monte Toledo has been inspected and brokers expect the ship to be sold soon.
Oslo-based broker Nordic Shipping believes the tanker could fetch some $35m, while UK-based online platform VesselsValue.com says the suezmax is worth just $32.8m.
Sources suggest US-based Ridgebury Tankers or Greek owner Trade & Transport are likely buyers.
The ship is coming off a long-term charter with compatriot Repsol.
