Capital Maritime & Trading Corp (CMTC) has stepped up its involvement in container shipping with around $400m-worth of orders for five more post-panamax vessels.
The Evangelos Marinakis-controlled company has ordered another four wide-beam neo-panamaxes of 9,443 teu, this time at Hyundai Samho Heavy Industries, as well as exercising an option for a fourth 9,160-teu vessel either at DSME or Daewoo Mangalia Heavy Industries in Romania.
