A decision has been taken by Germany to help Italy further its investigation into the loss of the Costa Concordia two years after the event as it seeks to find answers to the loss of its nationals onboard the ship.
Without directly naming the vessel, Germany’s Federal Bureau of Maritime Casualty Investigation (BSU) has simply added the grounding of a passengership off Giglio Island in 2012 to its list of accident probes.
