The two companies booked the ship at Vard in June 2012 with delivery set for the same month this year.
Osl-listed Solstad initially agreed to buy just a 30% stake in the 157-metre, state-of-the-art large construction-support vessel (CSV) Normand Vision (built 2014) that cost NOK 1.5bn ($236m), with an option to raise the stake to 50%.
However, now Solstad is taking full ownership of the vessel, although it declines to reveal the price.
