Samjin Shipbuilding Industries (SSI) in China is picking up orders again after resolving its financial problems.

The South Korean-owned but Weihai-based shipyard has secured four IMO Type II chemical tanker newbuildings from a Singapore-registered company. It is slated to deliver the 50,000-dwt vessels during the second half of 2016.

The ships are set to be long term chartered by Laurin Maritime arm Anglo-Atlantic Steamship.
