Fast-growing pools power Navig8 has added two VLCCs from South Korea’s DK Maritime to its growing VL8 pool.
DK — the shipowning arm of South Korean yard DSME — has committed the 321,000-dwt Blue Garnet and Blue Aquamarine (both built 2011) to a pool with 23 units already in the water, confirms Navig8 commercial director Jason Klopfer.
Navig8 has made its own huge investment in the VLCC sector in the past six months, taking 14 units on order in Korea and China for delivery into the VL8 pool in 2016 and 2017.
