Rickmers Group says a structural reorganisation with the sale of older KG (limited partnership) ships is being balanced by fresh investments involving US private-equity partner Apollo Global Management.
The Bertram Rickmers-controlled shipping company shed 27 KG-owned vessels last year but has partly compensated for their loss by expanding its fleet with financial partner Apollo to 12 vessels, as well as taking additional third-party owned ships under management.
