Greek owner Liquimar has extended its co-operation with energy major Shell, which has taken a pair of long-range-two (LR2) products tankers for six more months.

The 115,000-dwt Amfitriti and Iasonas (both built 2009) have been fixed at $14,500 per day.

Shell is having to pay a higher rate than in 2012 when it chartered the duo for two years, reportedly splashing out $13,500 per day for the Amfitriti and only $12,500 per day for the Iasonas.
