Winning Shipping dominates the transport of Indonesian bauxite into China.
The Singapore-based shipowner/operator says a low-cost service and the ability to resolve logistics issues for bauxite miners and importers helps it stay ahead of the competition.
Company president Sun Xiushun says the volumes it ships to China have multiplied more than 100 fold from 300,000 tonnes in 2004 to 37 million tonnes in 2011 because of China’s “rapid economic development”.
