The future of the Nova Tankers spot VLCC pool looks uncertain following news of a second sell-off of ships by pool members this year.
Early this year, pool member Maersk Tankers sold 15 VLCCs to Euronav in a $980m deal and now unconfirmed reports claim that Singapore-based Samco Shipholding is selling its seven modern VLCCs to US-listed DHT Holdings in a $590m deal believed to have been brokered by Poten & Partners in the US.
