Turkish shipping tycoon Robert Yuksel Yildirim is close to putting a planned order for 10 newcastlemax newbuildings on the back- burner after watching shipyard prices rise.
Yildirim tells TradeWinds that he has been discouraged by price increases close to 20% since he first revealed the plan in March.
Yildirim has already determined that price levels in Japan and South Korea are prohibitive.
