At a table in the centre of MidOceanMarine’s Connecticut office, Pace Ralli flips open a laptop and plays a clip from the spy parody “Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery”.
In the scene, Powers, the fictional superspy, commandeers a steamroller. One of arch villain Dr Evil’s workers stands in its way.
But he is a long way away, and the steamroller is moving at an excruciating slow crawl.
