Shipowners have submitted their bids to build a swathe of ice-class LNG carriers for Russian trading giant Gazprom Marketing & Trading (GM&T).
Owners have been told to expect several rounds of negotiations on their indicative offers on what GM&T has dubbed its “Ice Star” LNG newbuildings before a final two companies are selected.
At least five names are believed to be in the frame to construct what is initially being touted as three LNG carriers.
