South Korean shipbuilders are nervously waiting for a newbuilding tender for LNG carriers from state energy giant Kogas after the timeline slid backwards.
Kogas officials indicate the tender could be issued in August but say they are still awaiting internal approvals on several points, including the number of vessels needed.
But they are clear on one aspect: the ships are required for delivery in 2017.
