The Rice Company has filed new litigation against two companies backed by Greek shipowner Evangelos Marinakis in a bid to collect on an unpaid arbitration settlement.
The lawsuit by the California-based bulker charterer is its second New York action filed this year seeking payment from Express Sea Transport Corp (ESTC) in a dispute over the 2007 charter of the Greek company’s chartered in 34,700-dwt Apostolos II (built 2003).
