Last week, Monjasa AS and Glander International Bunkering filed two separate affidavits at the Gujarat High Court in a bid to secure around $750,000.
Ahmedabad-based legal sources say Justice Shailesh R Brahmbhatt of the Gujarat High Court ordered the arrest of the 56,800-dwt Bao Flourish (built 2012) following an affidavit filed by Monjasa.
The supramax is owned by China’s HTM Shipping.
Sources say the owner was told to deposit $695,054 as security with the court until the case is settled.
