Weak freight markets fail to dent capesize asset values

The South Korean-controlled, 180,000-dwt Blue Cho Oyu (built 2011) is said to have been sold to a Greek buyer for between $50m and $51m.

UK-based Online platform VesselsValue.com says the Daehan-built ship is worth $50.2m. In June, Korean owner Blue Marine sold the Hyundai-built, 180,000-dwt Blue Manaslu (built 2011) for $51.5m to $52m. A Hyundai-built ship is likely to be worth slightly more.
